The popular Kayak Bass Fishing (KBF) OPEN Series returns to Kentucky Lake March 18th followed by the inaugural KBF NATIONAL CHAMPIONSHIP March 19th and 20th.

Last year 158 anglers from 21 states converged on an icy Kentucky Lake for the 3rd Annual KBF OPEN Series. The fishing conditions started out tough and improved steadily with anglers making some impressive catches. The biggest fish topped 8 pounds and numerous impressive totals were turned in for the weekend.

The weather is setting up for much better fishing this year and over 400 anglers from across the country are pre-qualified to fish the first KBF NATIONAL CHAMPIONSHIP. In addition, 100 anglers will qualify by fishing the KBF OPEN event on Friday, March 18th. Local anglers are encouraged to come out to the Captain’s Meeting Thursday Night, March 17th and sign up to compete against the top kayak anglers from across the country. The stage is set for a record turn out, unbelievable fishing and lots of opportunities for anglers to catch their personal best on one of America’s top bass fisheries.

In addition to great fellowship, we will have free beer from PerryLodgic Brewery and entertainment from two amazing Nashville recording artists, Kristen Kelly and Jimmy Stanley. Friday evening, March 18th, Kristen and Jimmy will entertain the crowd along with a full band for an event open to the public. Country music fans are encouraged to come out and enjoy this great free show.

For those that can’t fish the entire event there is also a four day charity event, The HOW BIG BASS BRAWL with a prize package valued at over $5,000 with the proceeds raised through the $20 Entry fee benefiting the Heroes on the Water.
